Prošlo je čak mjesec dana od zadnjeg posta. Mjesec dana! Vjerujte mi, u ovih mjesec dana sam jedva imala vremena da ručam kao čovjek, a one mrvice slobodnog vremena sam koristila za mnogo potreban odmor. Toliko o tome da blogeri ne rade ništa već samo kradu bogu dane i tipkaju o besplatnoj šminci...

No, na stranu negativu - iako sam se morala malo požaliti, danas je došao red na recenziju još jednog proizvoda (a znamo da ih ima mnogo) koji je dugo čekao na to. Riječ je o neobičnoj, ekstravagantnoj, upečatljivoj te pomalo teško dostupnoj (bar na području BiH) - Kat Von D Alchemist paleti highlightera.

It's been a month since the last post. A month! Trust me, during this month I barely had time for a proper lunch, and I mostly spent those fragments of free time by having a much deserved rest. So much about bloggers doing nothing but frittering their time away, typing about free makeup...

Nevertheless, negativity aside - although I had to complain a bit, today I decided to write yet another review of a product (and we all know there's many of them) which has been waiting for it for a long time. The star of today's post is an unusual, extravagant, striking and somewhat hard to get (at least in Bosnia and Herzegovina) - Kat Von D Alchemist highlighter palette.

Ako ste imalo upućeni u svjetsku beauty scenu, mogli ste primijetiti razne kontroverze vezane za Kat Von D kao osobu. Osobno se ne slažem sa dosta njenih stavova, ali jedno je sigurno - žena zna kako napraviti dobar beauty proizvod. Sam izgled njenih proizvoda je umjetničko djelo za sebe, a kad to uskladite s kvalitetom dobijete dobitnu kombinaciju. Ja nemam nešto pretjerano puno njenih proizvoda ali mislim da imam dovoljno da bih potvrdila ovu činjenicu.

If you are even remotely familiar with world beauty scene, you could notice a lot of controversy surrounding Kat Von D as a person. Personally, I don't agree with a lot of her opinions, but one thing is for sure - this woman knows how to makeu a good makeup product. Her product design is a piece of art itself and when you combine it with quality you get a winning combination. I don't have plenty of her products, but I think I have enough to confirm this fact.

No, da ja krenem s paleticom - može? Kako možete vidjeti na fotografijama, dolazi u trokutastom pakiranju. Na vanjskom, kartonskom omotaču se nalaze holografska slova koja se predivno presijavaju, te pod određenim uglom možete vidjeti sve dugine boje (drago mi je da ih je aparat uspio uhvatiti). Na omotaču se nalaze svi podaci vezani za proizvod, te lista sastojaka. Sama paletica ima reljef koji se slaže sa dizajnom na omotaču, te se također predivno presijava. Kažem vam - sam izgled Kat Von D pakiranja me oduševljava! Također, ovaj, kao i svi KVD proizvodi, je veganski i nije testiran na životinjama, što je veliki plus.

Let me start about pallete - yes? As you can see in the photos, it comes in a triangular packaging. The outer, cardboard sleeve is decorated with holographic letters which reflect the light beautifully, and you can see all the colors of the rainbow at a certain angle (I'm so glad the camera managed to catch it). The sleeve contains all the information about the product as well as the list of ingredients. The pallete itself has a relief that matches the design on the sleeve, and reflects the light beautifully as well. I'm telling you - the design of Kat Von D packaging amazes me! Also, this, as well as other KVD products, is vegan and cruelty free, which is a big plus.

U paleti se nalaze četiri highlightera, a svaki teži 1,53g. Kako sam već navela - nijanse su neobične, iako danas ima dosta proizvođača koju su ovakve nijanse ubacili u svoje kolekcije, kada je ova paleta izašla bila je među rijetkima. Pigmentacija je odlična kod svake nijanse, iako neke malo više dolaze do izražaja od drugih. Mogu se nadograđivati, pa sjaj ide od jačeg do "vidi se iz svemira". Sadrže ekstra reflektirajuće čestice koje se presijavaju iz svih uglova. Definitivno nije za one koji preferiraju blagi, prirodni sjaj. Tu je mene potpuno osvojila jer, kako znate ako me duže pratite, ja volim pigmentirane highlightere - ako ne zasljepljujete ljude, kakav je to highlighter?! No, kako joj u nazivu stoji - ovo je transformirajuća paleta - što znači da se proizvodi mogu koristiti i kao highlighteri i kao sjenila, bilo samostalno ili preko nekih drugih, posebno crnog. Ja ih najčešće koristim ili kao highlighter na licu ili u unutarnjem kutu oka. Trušenje je minimalno, te će samo malo praha biti po pakiranju. Trajnost je također odlična, barem na mom suhom licu. Nijanse su nazvane po dragom kamenju pa ću ja krenuti redom.

There are four highlighters in the packaging, each with weight of 1,53g / 0,005Oz. As I've already mentioned - the shades are unusual, although there are a lot of companies that put these kind of shades in their collections, when this pallete was released it was one of the few. The pigmentation is excellent, although some shades are more dominant than others. They are buildable, so the glow it provides goes from strong to "it can be seen from space." They contain extra reflexive shimmer which reflect the light from every angle. It is definitely not for those who prefer the soft, natural glow. It completely swooped me of my feet because, as you know if you follow my blog for some time, I love pigmented highlighters - if you're not blinding people, what kind of highlighter it is?! Nonetheless, as stated in its title - this is a transforming palette - meaning these products can also be used as highlighters and eyeshadows, whether alone or as toppers, especially on the black base. I mostly use them as a highlights on the face or the inner corner of the eye. Kickback is minimal, so there will only be a bit of powder in the packaging. The durability is also great, at least on my dry skin. The shades are named after the precious stones, so I will get started.

{Green} Emerald

Kako mu ime kaže, ovo je zelenkasti highlighter sa svijetlom, gotovo bijelom bazom ispunjenom žućkastim i zelenim reflektirajućim česticama. Emerald je po meni najpigmentiranija i najsjajnija nijansa u ovoj paleti, a mogla bih reći i da je najneobičnija. Mislim, koliko često viđate zeleni highlighter? Definitivno nije za one slabog srca jer ćete s njom definitivno biti uočeni. Primijeti li se da mi je najdraža? Iako je tako, ipak ju ne nosim često - za većinu nije pogodna za posao, no za neke specijalne prilike - odmah posežem za njom.

As its name states, this is a greenish highlighter with light, almost white base filled with yellowish and green reflecting shimmer. Emerald is in my opinion the shiniest and most pigmented shade in this palette, and I could say it's the most unusual one. I mean, how often do you see a green highlighter? It is definitely not for the faint of heart, because you will be definitely be noticed with it. Can you tell it is my favorite? Even though it's true, I don't use it very often - it's not work appropriate for most people, but for some special occasions - I reach for it in an instant.

{Ultra-violet} Amethyst

Svijetla boja lavande sa plavim reflektirajućim česticama, pod određenim uglom je više ljubičasta, dok je pod drugim više plava. Također nije za one slabog srca, jer je po pigmentaciji kao Emerald. Moram priznati da sam nju nešto manje koristila, no volim posegnuti za njom, čak i više kao sjenilom nego kao highlighterom.

Light lavender shade with blue reflexive shimmer, at a certain angle it looks purple, while at the other it's more blue. It's also not for the faint of heart, because it has the same pigmentation as Emerald. I must admit I used it somewhat less than others, but I like to reach for it, even more as an eyeshadow than as highlighter.

{Blue} Saphyre

Jako svijetla plavičasta nijansa. Nanešena preko kože izgleda gotovo kao da ima bijelu bazu sa plavim reflektirajućim česticama, te se čini najmanje pigmentirana od ostale tri nijanse. Njen puni sjaj više dolazi do izražaja kada se koristi preko tamne baze. Super mi je ja higlight u unutarnjem kutu oka i ispod obrve.

Very bright blueish shade. Applied over the bare skin looks almost like it has a white base with blue reflexive shimmer, and it seems less pigmented than the other three shades. Its full glow is seen when you use it over a dark base. It is great as inner eye corner and brow bone highlight.

{Pink} Opal

Zadnja, ali ne i manje važna, je ova divna ružičasta nijansa. Pigmentiranija je od Saphyre, ali opet nije sjajna poput Emerald. Odlična je i za dnevne i za večernje varijante jer je najnosivija, pa za njom najčešće posežem. Volim ju koristiti kao highlight na licu i u unutarnjem kutu oka.

Last, but not less important, is this gorgeous pink shade. It is more pigmented than Saphyre, yet not as shiny as Emerald. It is great for both daytime and night time looks because it is the most wearable, so I use it most often. I like to use it as a highlight on the face and inner eye corner.

Kada sam prvi put ugledala ovu paletu, poželjela sam da ju imam, a kad mi je stigla u ruke - to je bila instant ljubav. Već sam pisala o Essence paletici koja ima slične nijanse kao ova, no što se tiče i pigmentacije i kvalitete općenito Kat Von D tu odnosi prvo mjesto - a i za novac koji izdvojite za nju i trebala bi, zar ne? Može se nabaviti na Kat Von D ili Sephora web stranicama (ima i još nekih stranica ali ove su provjerene), te Sephora prodajnim mjestima. Sve u vezi ove paletice mi se sviđa - izgled pakiranja, količina proizvoda, pigmentacija, izbor nijansi - sve! Iako su nesvakidašnje nijanse ja ih rado nosim i svaki put se iznova divim efektu koji ostavljaju.

When I first saw this palette I wanted to have it, and when it got into my possession - I fell in love immediately. I've already written about Essence palette which has similar shades as this one, but as far as the pigmentation and quality itself is concerned, the Kat Von D one takes the first place - and for the money you you spend on it, it should, right? You can order it on Kat Von D or Sephora websites (there are others, too, but these ones are tried and true) and Sephora stores. I like everything about this palette - the package design, quantity, pigmentation, the choice of shades - everything! Although they seem unusual, I gladly use these shades and every time I do - they amaze me over and over again.
